State Fair Notes
4-H’ers completing 5th - 12th grade are eligible to exhibit at the 2008
Iowa State Fair. An individual member is limited to having two exhibits
chosen for State Fair competition from the departments in the 4-H &
Youth Building. 4-H’ers with exhibits chosen for State Fair must bring
their exhibit to the Extension Office by Friday, August 1st, by Noon.
Exception: Food & Nutrition exhibitors will bring their exhibits to the
Extension Office by 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5th . Members whose
exhibits are large (such as furniture) will be asked to take their
exhibit to the State Fair, where they will meet Extension staff for
check-in.
Exhibits that do not comply with size guidelines; copyright and safety
procedures will not be accepted for entry, evaluation or display at the
Iowa State Fair.
